91 - Al-Shams

{1} وَالشَّمْسِ وَضُحَاهَا

By the sun and its shine

{2} وَالْقَمَرِ إِذَا تَلَاهَا

By the moon that follows the sun

{3} وَالنَّهَارِ إِذَا جَلَّاهَا

By the day time where the sun is seen

{4} وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا يَغْشَاهَا

By the night Time where the sun is covered

{5} وَالسَّمَاءِ وَمَا بَنَاهَا

By the sky that is well built

{6} وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَا طَحَاهَا

By the earth that is well spread

{7} وَنَفْسٍ وَمَا سَوَّاهَا

By the Soul that is well created

{8} فَأَلْهَمَهَا فُجُورَهَا وَتَقْوَاهَا

and was give the choice between right and wrong

{9} قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَنْ زَكَّاهَا

The one who does the right is successful

{10} وَقَدْ خَابَ مَنْ دَسَّاهَا

The one who does the wrong is a loser

{11} كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ بِطَغْوَاهَا

The people of Thamood were so bad to call their Prophet a liar

{12} إِذِ انْبَعَثَ أَشْقَاهَا

The worst guy among them wanted to kill the Camel

{13} فَقَالَ لَهُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ نَاقَةَ اللَّهِ وَسُقْيَاهَا

But their Prophet told them “This is the she camel that Allah sent. Leave her alone and let her drink water”

{14} فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَعَقَرُوهَا فَدَمْدَمَ عَلَيْهِمْ رَبُّهُمْ بِذَنْبِهِمْ فَسَوَّاهَا

But they didn’t listen and killed the she camel so Allah got angry at them and he punished them all

{15} وَلَا يَخَافُ عُقْبَاهَا

And for him he has no fear of consequences
